Procedure for accepting observers

CIRCULAR
GPG/1368 dated 04.01.2002.

Subject :-  Allowing candidates as an observer.

Of late, it is observed that some of the candidates are allowed to start their Observerships before completing official formalities despite the earlier circular No. GPG/2309 dated 5.3.1998.  In order to avoid the above situation, following instructions are issued.

      1.     The candidates should be allowed to start their Observership after obtaining prior written permission of the Director (ME & MH)/Dean (G &K).   Direct applications of the candidates may not be entertained.

      2.     Candidates should submit their applications in prescribed form which is available in the Cash Section of the College Office on payment of Rs.576.50/- (inclusive of taxes).

      3.     Candidates should submit Passport size photo, permanent Medical Council Registration Certificate, MBBS degree/Passing certificate along with the application.

      4.     If the Candidate is sponsored, a letter in support of the Sponsorship be also submitted with the application.  In case the candidate is employed, the application mentioning the designation of the candidate should be routed through the proper channel.

      5.     The candidate should also pay charges at the rate of Rs.1500/- and Rs.3000/- (per month or part thereof in Cash or by Demand Draft payable in Mumbai drawn in favour of Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai for the proposed general Observership and Observership  in Specialised subject respectively.

All the Heads of the departments are requested to ensure that the aforesaid formalities are completed before actual commencement of the Observership in future.  After completion of the period of Observership, the Head of the Departments will please see that report certifying that the candidate has satisfactorily completed the Observership, is issued so as to enable the office to prepare regular certificate in favour of the candidate.
